- Identify the many prepositions in the verse. (of , around, with, in)

- Make a sentence of your own for each preposition found. (ex. Which one of those shoes do you like? The kids ran outside with the dog.)
- Identify the subject and predicate of the sentences you created. (ex. In “Which one of those shoes do you like?” the subject is you and the predicate is do like.
- Write a sentence or a short paragraph (depending on age/grade) about how we can not follow or be influenced by ungodly people. When writing a paragraph make sure there is a topic sentence and 3 sentences to support the main idea and a summary sentence.
- Read your sentence or paragraph out loud to your family.

- Delighting in something means that you purposely developed a fondness for it by thinking about it and looking forward to it.
- We won’t automatically delight in God’s law, but if we take the time to think about it and read it a lot we will develop delight for it.
- God’s law is good - something that can be described as delighting in is not a drag!

- Review prepositions and identify (in the law, of the Lord).
- Proper nouns always begin with a capital letter (Lord).
- The word “it” is a pronoun taking the place of law.
- Write a sentence or a paragraph about something you really like. Did you always like it or develop an affinity for it over time? Read your writing out loud to your family.

- This is a compound sentence (two sentences combined together) with a comma and the conjunction “and.” Review all the conjunctions: and, or, for, nor, yet, but, so.

- Have each student think up their own compound sentence using any conjunction of their choice. Make sure there is a subject and predicate on each side of the comma.

- “Place” is the direct object and “no” is an adjective modifying “place.”
- “Among the godly” is a prepositional phrase.
- Think of your own sentence with the preposition “among” in it.
- Write a sentence or a paragraph about how we are made right with God. Is it because of something we do or are we just accepting a wonderful gift?

Language Lesson:
- Use the focus verse for handwriting practice.
- Identify the comma and the conjunction “but” making this a compound sentence. Review the other conjunctions: and, or, for, nor, yet, but, so.
- Since this is actually 2 sentences joined together, making it a compound sentence, locate the compound subject and the compound predicate (Lord + path is the compound subject and watches + leads is the compound predicate).

- “Destruction” is a spelling word this week because it ends with a special sound, “tion” making the sound shun. Make a short list of other “tion” words and see if you can spell them without any help.
