Bible: Read Luke 1:26-56 & Luke 2:1-20
Verse of the Week: Luke 2:18-19
All who heard the shepherds’ story were astonished, but Mary kept all these things in her heart and thought about them often.

Writing: Ask about when you were born and write a story about it
History: Jesus was born into a time when his people were living in a place that another country occupied. The known world at the time was ruled (occupied) by the Romans. In World History, there have been several times when another country tried to occupy (take over) other countries much like the Romans did. One country to try this, in recent history, Germany. Much of WW2 is centered around countries who did not want to be overtaken by the Germans. Research Nazi Germany this week and related topics including WW2. Click the following links about people who lived in places being occupied by Germany, and read more about them from library books this week.
