Psalm 119:130
The teaching of your word gives light, so even the simple can understand.
I usually glance at this verse and think, "Oh, yeah, being taught God's Word gives my life direction, clarity, and illumination. I get that." But this version says "the teachings," and that made me think, "Not only the teachings of God's Word (nouns) but the teaching of God's Word (verb) that I do gives light, so even the simple can understand." I teach God's Word to my kids. They are simple-ish, no offense. But they can learn God's wisdom if it is taught to them. I am no rocket scientist myself, so I am further furthering my knowledge and understanding by learning God's Word and passing it along."
Dear God,
Thank you for your Word. Thank you so much that it certainly does what it is intended to do. I am so glad that I can know real right from real wrong from learning your Word. I am thankful that I can know your will and your way even better by passing it on! I love you and pray in your Son's name, amen.
