Find Out for Yourself

God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
Pastor Gregg Laurie made an amazing statement just right after his son’s unexpected death. Even though he and his whole family were all very sad and devastated, he said this: “Everything I believed about God to be true is true.”
And I know that’s because All the Lord’s promises prove true!
God is not selling anything; his Word is simply just filled with facts. If one is weary, come to him; you really will find rest (Matthew 28-30).
If one needs unexplainable peace, simply tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. And then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).
God also is able to take away anxiety (1 Peter 5:7), provide protection (Psalm 91), comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3-4), and relief from shame (Romans 8:1-17).
We don’t have to wait to experience a tragedy to find out if God’s peace and protection are real. Believers believe they are real. And should an unexpectedly bad thing happen we find out the truth in this promise from Psalm 25:3... No one who trusts in (God) will ever be disgraced, ashamed or disappointed. And we find out that everything we believe about God to be true is, in fact, true!
Dear God,
I have experienced first hand how you supernaturally comfort, protect, and heal when my husband was very sick in the hospital 3 years ago. Thank you that all the things I knew for certain turned out to be things I experienced first hand. Thank you that you are telling us the truth, AND that your truth is actually amazing. I love you so much, and I just can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for me. I thank you and praise you in Jesus’ name, amen.
