Sacrifice of Thankfulness
Psalm 50:14 NLT
Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God,
and keep the vows you made to the Most High.
Being thankful is a sacrifice?
Yes.
Pity parties, selfishness, grudges, and disappointments put all the focus on ME; and I love to be the center of the universe. Therefore, thankfulness would be a sacrifice because thankfulness shifts all the focus onto the One to Whom I am THANKFUL instead of onto me.
Dear Lord Jesus,
I choose to focus on YOU today. I am so thankful for your forgiveness, your grace & your blessings in my life. I do not wish to dwell on me, but help me dwell on YOU always and make you BIG in my heart, mind and life today. Thank you, Jesus, for your REAL and actual sacrifice for me. I love you and pray in your name, amen.
